Results w/e June 29th

The 1^st XI regained top spot in the West of England Premier League - Somerset Division when they defeated Bishops Lydeard by 19 runs at Northbrook Road. A & S scored 158-7 in their innings, the main contributor being Nayan Karmakar with a patient 52 not out. After an opening partnership of 24, Bishops Lydeard collapsed to 51-7 against steady bowling by Ben Rudge, Matt Duhigg and Karmakar before resistance from the tail took them to 139. Scorecard

The 2^nd XI retained their place at the top of Somerset League Division 2 when they won comfortably at Bishops Lydeard by 58 runs. An innings of 70 by Sean Watts helped A & S to a total of 196 in their 45 overs before bowling out the home side for 138.

Having been dismissed for 166, the Sunday XI lost their home match versus Street by 4 wickets

The Under 11s suffered a heavy defeat against a strong Taunton side on Friday evening while the Under 13s won their home match vs Huntspill on Sunday morning. The Under 15s were without a game this weekend.

Fixtures w/c June 30th

On Tuesday July 1^st, the Under 11s visit Taunton St Andrews.

On Saturday July 4^th the 1^st XI are at home to Chard, start 1.45 p.m, while the 2^nd XI travel to Ilminster.

On Sunday 15^th, the Under 13s are away to Middlezoy and the Under 15s are at home to Wedmore, start 10 a.m. while in the afternoon the Sunday XI entertain touring side Yealm start 2 p.m.

Training 2008

Training nights are Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. for Under 11s and Under 13s and on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. for adults and Under 15s
